Sometimes, impromptu photoshoots work out just as good if not better than planned ones. Such was the case with my friend, fellow photog and co-founder of Photo Betties Jenna and her son Chase. What started out as a simple visit ended up as a fun outdoor shoot, and an excuse for me to use my sensational borrowed 85mm 1.8 lens.
Jenna is the perfect new Mom: worried but not TOO worried, protectivebut not TOO protective and just RADIATES love and affection for her little bean. Her animated facial expressions paired with Chase’s cuteness (and his perfectly shaped head!) yielded some wonderful images. My favorite thing that Jenna said when she saw the thumbnails in my camera was “Wow! I’m always the one taking the picture, I never get to see myself with him. I look like a REAL mom!”
Yes, Jenna, you ARE a real mom and a great one at that. I’m so happy I could create these images to help you believe that.
