As soon as Tatum, Andrew and myself were put in touch I think we all sensed that we were going to make some magic together. After only a phone conversation and a few emails I already felt like we were old friends when I arrived to photograph their wedding this past September. Not only were the couple and their bridal party laid back and super-fun to work with but the universe was also on our side that day. Case in point: only moments after Tatum and Andrew saw each other for the first time on the dynamic Asbury Park boardwalk, a street musician set the mood with his own acoustic version of Eric Clapton’s Wonderful Tonight which our couple danced to in their own dreamy world. Tatum told me later that she felt like she was in a romantic movie scene – a moment that will remain ever special to her!
With all of our feet back on the ground and a few more snaps of our kick-ass couple it was then my turn with our groomsmen at the historic Stone Pony music venue. After posing outside we wondered if they would let us shoot inside; we figured “Why not? We’ll ask.†and for those of you not yet aware, people will always say yes on your wedding day. For this rat-pack group of musicians having the opportunity to pose on this iconic stage was *almost* as good as playing on it. They brought their A-game and I, in turn, got some of my favorite groomsmen photos to date.
CAN’T. HANDLE. THE AWESOMENESS.
I also had to include the cutest ring bearer and flower girl ever; ‘cause who doesn’t love photos of adorable kids? Â
